This position is ideal for a technician with over 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service, particularly in large and complex systems like boilers, chillers, and data center HVAC units. The role involves performing service, maintenance, and repairs in a variety of industrial environments such as hospitals, pharmaceutical labs, chip manufacturing, and data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service & Repair: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, and critical infrastructure equipment.
- Complex System Work: Work on large-scale systems in facilities such as hospitals, pharma labs, chip manufacturing plants, and data centers.
- Project Support: Participate in service projects, including system upgrades, installations, and commissioning of new HVAC equipment.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients regarding service issues and provide recommendations for additional work.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and local codes while ensuring work is performed to the highest standards.
- Documentation: Accurately complete service reports, time logs, and parts used. Maintain clear communication with management.
- Collaboration: Work alongside a team of technicians to solve complex HVAC issues and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC service, especially with heavy equipment like boilers, chillers, and data center systems.
- Certification: Journeyman HVAC license and EPA certifications.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills for a wide variety of HVAC systems.
- Service Project Experience: Previous experience in service project work is a plus.
- Communication: Clear communication with clients and team members.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy objects and working in diverse environments.
