Malace|HR is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic / Operating Engineer to work onsite at a manufacturer in Bolingbrook, IL. Reporting to the remote FM, your main responsibility will be ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building HVAC, electrical, life safety, and all auxiliary equipment. You'll also have the opportunity to interact with our business partner and their associates and be their go-to person for any facility-related concerns. You will also help in supporting their network of vendors and leveraging the Mobile Engineering Teams.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
- Business Partner Relations : Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees and vendors, addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Operate and maintain the localized heating, cooling and ventilating equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation of all HVAC related equipment throughout the individual buildings.
- Perform required preventative maintenance tasks of equipment to ensure facility systems are maintained at optimum efficiency. Assist and complete all of required preventive maintenance tasks.
- Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades : carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc
- Schedule and plan for vendor support when there are more specialized tasks required to keep and maintain the facility in a world class state.
- Perform regular interaction and supervision of outside trades to ensure the completion of contracted repairs and services.
- Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned from time to time. Such duties include, but are not limited to, the management of operations contracts. These contracts encompass a range of responsibilities, such as janitorial, pest control, turnstiles, material handling equipment.
- Aesthetic maintenance for both the interior and exterior areas, such as line painting and monitoring parking lot conditions. Additionally, this also involves the oversight of Fire Alarm Systems.
