The Production Maintenance Technician II will complete required PM's and perform repairs on the client's facility equipment as directed by the Site Leadership. This position will utilize a "flow to the work" concept. The successful Tech II will be an excellent communicator and have exceptional follow-up capabilities. The Tech II will exhibit an ownership attitude and willing to mentor those with less skills and knowledge.
Maintain a safe and clean work area. Demonstrate basic safe work practices based on company and customer policies and procedures.
Able to attend and pass certification and licensing classroom and practical training for rolling stock, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, etc.
Understand and utilize portable ladders and demonstrate proper selection of required fall protection devices.
Performs preventive maintenance activities on process equipment following written instructions. PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of worn or defective items (i.e., belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection / evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration.
Analyzes findings during PM and recommends changes to PM content based upon findings. Documents PM activities within the CMMS. Completes assigned work orders and documents completion within the CMMS. Completes repairs including rebuilding of pumps, steam traps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices.
Completes general repairs on process equipment. Completes repairs to valves (air, steam, hydraulic) and cylinders (air, steam, hydraulic). Also, maintain, clean and repair CO2 Molds (Die-set).
Performs shift "rounds" using a checklist to document performance characteristics (i.e., operation modes, pressures, temperatures, RPM, etc.) of facility systems and equipment.
Performs PM & repairs within the process area.
Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
