We're looking for a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Portland, OR! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by supporting our plant operations and union employees with your HR expertise. You'll play a key role in our success by providing guidance on recruitment, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and HR best practices. In this role, you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and management at the plant.
- Develop and maintain successful working relationships with the management team to influence and provide effective HR processes, advice, and support.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation and assist with the 90-day onboarding of new and transitioning employees.
- Manage and assist with employee relations issues and recommend actions consistent with corporate policies and regulatory compliance.
- Foster an environment of open communication and respect and promotes the open-door policy.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism regarding employee and company information confidentiality.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and database programs. Labor Relations Experience is required.
Solid interpersonal, verbal/written communication, PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suite), and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously are also essential. Strong management skills, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize multiple projects with strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be very approachable, develop strong professional relationships, and foster involvement at all levels of the organization.
Must be able to work 8 hours/day plus overtime as required. Must be able to interface with employees on all shifts.
