The Senior Maintenance Mechanic, under minimum supervision, repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical equipment, and devices. Such as motors, conveyor systems, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and production equipment by diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, blueprints, and manufacturer's specifications. This position is responsible for checking the quality of work performed.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of machining technology and mechanical principles is necessary. Should be able to use a wide range of precision measuring instruments, such as scales, squares, micrometers, calipers, indicators, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to drive forklift with proper license. Ability to perform arc welding, MIG, TIG, and flame cutting and grinding. Fabrication of special projects may be necessary in this role.
This is an overnight position.
