7th and 8th Grade Theology Teaching Position

Malden Catholic, a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Codivisional Middle and High School for young men and women, seeks a candidate for a 7th and 8th Grade Theology teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year. Master’s degree in the field and minimum 2 years’ teaching experience preferred. Skills/Qualifications: • Willingness to support Catholic mission of the School. • Content Area Competency and Excellence • Basic Knowledge in Latin • Classroom Management Skills • Verbal Communication & Presentation Skills • Self-Motivation, Flexibility, and Ability to Motivate Students • Candidate should be a practicing Catholic and should have a joyful willingness to support and model the Catholic mission of the school • Ability to Motivate Students, Flexibility; an understanding of the pastoral role of campus ministers in the high school setting; the ability to engage and inspire all students along their faith journey Candidates should have the competency and passion to engage every student in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, as well as a desire to become an active and collegial member of an adult community of learners. The Teacher: • Teaches 5 periods, courses as assigned. (This position teaches hybrid Latin-Theology courses.) • Models the Catholic values of the School. • Inspires, promotes, and nurtures the secondary level education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study; monitoring, assisting with, and assessing academic efforts. • Provides a safe classroom environment conducive to learning and attentive to varied learning styles. • Keeps parents informed of student progress.
