High School - Occupationa Therapist

Qualifications (Required):
- Valid Occupational Therapy License.
- Successful experience as an occupational therapist.
- Experience with students who have diverse sensory needs.
- Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Related Service Providers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
- ESL Licensed or SEI Endorsement.
- Occupational Therapy License
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to provide direct OT (including sensory consult and/or fine motor) services to students on IEP’s.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
- Write end of summer progress reports for each student served.
Duration:
- Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:
- Professional In-service Day (July 1)(3 hours).
- 20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 7– August 7 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).
Salary: $37 an hour, $3,811 total (20 days/5 hrs 1 inservice at 3 hours)
