Job Summary: Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our residential Design/Build team. This part-time role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for landscape design who can help reduce lead time on designs and increase output on proposals and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the design team in developing landscape designs for residential clients, including conceptual drawings, planting plans, and hardscape layouts.
• Utilize design software such as CAD or similar tools to create detailed plans and visual presentations.
• Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals and presentation materials for client meetings.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, material lists, and bid packages.
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements, photos, and relevant data for design development.
• Assist in maintaining organized project files and documentation to ensure efficient project workflow.
• Research plants, materials, and design trends to support innovative design solutions.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling, client communications, and file management
Qualifications
-6 months of landscape design experience
-Students majoring in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or similar fields are encouraged to apply
-This is a part-time role. Hours revolve around M-F 8AM-5PM. Flexible with schedules.
