As a Retail Assistant Manager for our Malia Mills San Francisco store, you’ll be the heartbeat of our boutique—a place where luxury is defined by intention, craftsmanship, and soul. We design swim and ready to wear collections that are iconic yet personal, sophisticated yet approachable to discover in our warm, curated, and timelessly stylish Malia Mills stores in New York and California. You’ll take ownership of every aspect of the store, crafting an atmosphere where customers feel both welcomed and inspired. More than just a manager, you’ll be a steward of our brand ethos, “Love Thy Differences”, building connections with clients and team members alike.
Your role is equal parts strategist, storyteller, and hands-on leader. You’ll guide your team with empathy and vision, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to personalized service and artisanal quality. With a keen eye for merchandising, you’ll transform the boutique into a living expression of our designs, intentionally crafted and lovingly made in America.
In this role, you will :
- Create and execute an extraordinary client experience, one interaction at a time.
- Inspire, train, and lead a team to embody the brand’s mission and values.
- Collaborate on merchandising and storytelling to bring our collections to life in the boutique.
- Champion operational excellence while embracing creativity and intuition in decision-making.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, kindness, and collective growth.
- Demonstrate proficiency with basic computer skills, including POS systems and Excel, to manage store operations and reporting.
- Be comfortable moving merchandise, furniture, and fixtures weighing a minimum of 40 lbs to create a dynamic, inviting boutique environment.
- Work a flexible full-time schedule, including rotating holidays and weekends, to support the needs of the business and your team.
