Job Summary
Malibu Boats, Inc. is the leading producer of recreational towboats in the world. Steeped in a legacy of watersports performance, the headquarters in Loudon, Tennessee produces two brands of wake boats (Malibu and Axis). This role assists the broader marketing and sales teams in the quest to build brand equity and market share on both brands.
The Marketing Coordinator supports the development and execution of outstanding marketing plans through our website, email campaigns, external publications and live events. Reporting to the Marketing Manager for Malibu & Axis, the role works in partnership with our in-house creative manager, Digital Marketing resources and outside vendors holding responsibilities for projects across various touchpoints with particularly strong ownership over the brands work in Social media (strategies, content development, implementation and budget management).
The role involves digital prowess especially with social media tools, channel-effective content development, email automation (HubSpot) and website updates.
Responsibilities
- Lead our Social Media work
- Help produce content for print and web including brochures, newsletters and emails.
- Composition and distribution of dealer and retail customer communications including but not limited to email campaigns, press releases, new articles, and general copywriting
- Support for automated email journeys for loyalty nurturing and prospecting for leads
- Serve as point person for local media and events via outreach and press releases
- Create, edit and post content for the retail websites
- Provide logistical support for events including photo shoots, dealer meetings, sponsored tournaments, and tradeshows/boat shows as needed
- Oversee brands submissions into industry award competitions
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in the work (i.e., prior experience including robust internships, working with marketing agencies and/or freelance marketing content and asset creation).
- Solid written and verbal communication including proofreading, copy editing, and developing/ maintaining media and direct customer contacts
- Agility/openness to evolving work and flowing to where help is needed in a relatively lean and dynamic teamshould thrive in learning new things and a variety of work each day
- A winning/results orientation and an enterprise mindset towards the greater good of company success
- Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite & Meltwater
- Interest in and/or experience with boating and water sports activities (wake, surf, skate and ski) and water sport-related events is a plus.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in the field of graphic design, journalism, communications or similar; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Important Skills:
- Experience in Social media work both creative and analytics
- Experience with website content management systems
- Working knowledge of CRM systems like HubSpot
- Ability to create visuals using Adobe creative suite
Work Environment
Typical 8-9 hour work days. Some overtime and travel required.
