Summary
We are seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team at Malick & Scherer, P.C. The ideal candidate will be located in the northern region of New Jersey. Must have knowledge of field surveying techniques, including the ability to operate surveying equipment including total stations, data collectors and levels while performing right of way, boundary and topographic surveys.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate field crew during surveying operations.
- Ensure compliance with project scope and safety standards.
- Review and validate survey data for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
- Collaborate with office staff and other professionals to support project goals.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
Requirements
- Familiar with operating surveying instruments
- Familiar with data collectors and surveying software
- Familiar with automatic line work a plus
- Experience with GPS equipment a plus
- Experience with robotic equipment a plus
- Proven experience in land surveying - 2 years minimum as Crew Chief
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
