Job Summary:
Malley’s Chocolates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in the chocolate manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production, adhere to quality standards, and contribute to a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chocolate production machines, including tempering units, enrobing machines, molding equipment, and packaging lines.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs to machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product consistency and meet production specifications.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Document production data, machine performance, and any maintenance activities.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues, reporting major concerns to the maintenance team.
- Adhere to all FDA, GMP, and food safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to follow all safety and food handling guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
