Packer
Summary: Packaging and Processing Line Support are an important part of the production process. Packers will pack candy into a variety of packages to meet both the high quality standards as well as the speed of the production line. Packers will also provide processing line support by placing product on conveyor belts, sort raw materials and remove any defects, and other processing related tasks.
Hours: Monday – Friday and Saturdays during peak seasons:
Job Type: Full-time Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4pm
Pay Range: Starting at $ 13.00 - weekly pay

- Work at different work stations as production requires
- Stack and pile finished goods into containers with correct count.
- Stack cases in boxes or pallets
- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping and labeling.
- Inspect, weigh and package products
- Sort raw materials for defects and keep pace with the production line.
- Place products on moving conveyors as they feed into the lines.
- Verify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipment.
- Clean the production area as needed to include washing and drying the processing line, steam cleaning as needed, sweeping the floors, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
- Maintaining the production pace of the production line
- Detailed orientated
- Team work is a must for this position
- Must follow all safety rules and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices

Physical Demands:
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in warmer/hot environment 80-90 degrees
- Must be able to work in cooler environments 60-70 degrees
- Ability to perform the following physical activities: walking, talking, hearing, and perform repetitive motions.
- Continuous tasks include: Standing, walking and frequent bending, reaching/handling from the conveyor line to floor or into a box. Weight handled: approximately 10-30 lbs. continuously; 30-50 lbs. frequently; > 50 occasionally.
- Push/pull force 30-40 lbs. frequently.
