We are seeking a dedicated Quality & Food Safety Technician to help uphold the highest standards of safety, consistency, and excellence in our chocolate production. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Assurance

• Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished chocolate products.
• Perform sensory evaluations, visual inspections, and physical testing to ensure adherence to product specifications.
• Monitor and verify production processes to maintain consistent product quality.
• Document and investigate deviations, non-conformities, and customer feedback.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to continuously improve product standards.
  
  
  

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and HACCP guidelines.
• Conduct environmental monitoring, allergen controls, and swabbing programs as required.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, USDA, and other relevant food safety regulations.
• Prepare records and assist with internal and third-party audits and inspections.
• Train production staff on food safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
  
  
  

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality and food safety testing.
• Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams on product testing and new product development.
  
  
  

Other Responsibilities

• Support equipment calibration and verification of testing instruments.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings related to quality and food safety initiatives.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality control, or food safety (chocolate/confectionery experience is a plus!).
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with food testing, microbiological analysis, and sensory evaluation.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP or quality management systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train others on food safety practices.
