Role
We're looking for professional, highly skilled Commercial HVAC & Mechanical Service Technicians who have experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will also maintain complex systems, such as process chilled water systems, hydronic cooling and heating systems, Dx split and packaged AC units, steam systems, heat exchangers, air compressors, pumps, dehumidification systems and humidifiers.
This is a full-time role with Mallory & Evans, based in the Macon, GA area with flexibility to work remotely in the SE/SW Georgia region.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the role of a commercial HVAC field service technician
- Strong HVAC and refrigeration skills
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and drawings
- Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to source parts and materials, and estimate repair quotes
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work with a team while communicating complex terms to clients and team members
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Knowledge of building automation and control systems
- Ability to communicate timeline and costs for equipment repairs and replacements with customers to meet their expectations
- Clean background check, driving record, and drug free
- Flexibility to work weekends, on-call, and overtime, as required
- Meet physical requirements of working in the role of a field service technician, operating applicable tools, comfortable working at heights as well as outdoors and indoors
- Prior work experience and educational requirements
- Work safely per OSHA NFPA 70E standards and procedures
- Technical degree or certification in HVAC-related field
- EPA-608 universal certification
Qualifications good to have:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and drawings
- Understanding of building automation system
- Basic understanding of steam heating systems and components
- Ability to rebuild centrifugal water pumps and repair or replace seals, bearings, impellers, and shafts
