Onsite Warehouse Recruiter
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay: $25.00/Hr. Plus overtime when needed
Are you a motivated individual with experience in warehouse operations and a passion for training and development? We are seeking an Onsite Warehouse Recruiter to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the success of our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the local staffing branch to recruit, interview, and train new warehouse employees.
- Train, cross-train, and coach warehouse employees to improve skills and achieve continuous improvement.
- Assist with payroll issues, ensuring accurate resolution and timely communication.
- Conduct safety training for the operation of powered industrial equipment (reach trucks, forklifts, turret trucks, etc.).
- Develop and conduct comprehensive forklift training programs for new and existing employees.
- Evaluate trainees’ forklift operation skills and provide constructive feedback.
- Certify employees upon successful completion of training and ensure records are accurately maintained.
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to identify training needs and develop training plans.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Address safety concerns, incidents, or issues related to warehouse operation.
- Stay up to date with industry changes and safety standards, and updating training materials as needed.
- Assess employees’ proficiency through written and practical evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Adapt training techniques to accommodate different learning styles as needed.
- Research and resolve operational issues while implementing corrective measures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization using 5S methodology.
- Flexibility to work alternative shifts for training purposes.
Knowledge and Skills Needed
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 Year’s Warehouse/Distribution experience required.
- Proven experience in forklift operation and training (Certification in forklift training is required)
- Must have strong communication skills: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus!
- Strong knowledge of forklift safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety.
- Ability to adapt training methods to various learning styles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training software.
