Bilingual Engineering Project Manager

Malone Solutions is seeking a Bilingual, Engineering Project Manager for a direct hire position with a global company that sells, engineers and manufactures (via subcontract) process equipment for the food and feed, life chemicals and biofuels industries, developing and creating tailor-made technical solutions to meet their clients’ needs.

The Bilingual (Spanish / English) Engineering Project Manager serves as company liaison to all internal and external stakeholders in assigned projects in various regions of North America and Latin America in the company’s vegetable oil business. Responsible for the successful execution and delivery of multiple projects, he or she is involved in all aspects of project development and execution from concept to design, implementation, and start-up, including project scope, cost and schedule, quality assurance and problem resolution.

Reporting to the Manager of Project Execution, the primary duties of this position include :

• Act as the central contact point between the customer and all internal departments involved in Atlanta and within company's group affiliates worldwide as well as external vendors and subcontractor; apply sound project management principles in planning, leading, and tracking all project goals; coordinate project deliverables with all departments, vendors, customers, and others as defined within the scope of the project; and provide management and customers with periodic updates of project status as required.
• Ensure that projects meet budgetary and time requirements, adhere to plans, specifications, and guarantees, comply with company quality standards, safety, and environmental regulations, and meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Provide project guidance and leadership, expertise, skills, and hands-on assistance as necessary, to help identify, manage, and mitigate areas of concern to facilitate successful completion of project goals and drive customer satisfaction.
• May perform engineering tasks as appropriate based on workload and schedule,
• The successful candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 or more years of demonstrated project management experience in industrial / manufacturing setting. “Hands on” knowledge of implementing engineering projects from ideation through completion in the vegetable oil seed processing industry a plus. PMP certification preferred.
• This position requires a self-motivated, multi-talented individual with an enthusiastic customer service orientation.
• Must have strong problem solving, critical thinking, project management, analytical and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and efficiently and be results oriented.
• Must have the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external professional relationships, be a collaborative partner and be able to handle several tasks concurrently while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Computer skills with strong proficiency in Project Management software and Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s and ability to read vessel drawings necessary.
• Sound understanding and knowledge of engineering principles, process design and techniques is required.
• English and Spanish fluency, with excellent verbal and written and presentation communication is required.

This position will require approximately 30% travel – routine to customer sites in North and Latin America, and occasionally to other company global offices.
