Malone Staffing Solutions is seeking a versatile Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist for a global partner that specializes in automotive interior and exterior injection-molded parts, glass assembly, compression forming, and custom assembly, located in Georgetown, KY.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist Duties :
- Responsible for all activities for the Plant as related to Health, Safety, and Environmental
- Successfully manage a HSE program promoting a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health / Safety program in line with regulations and company policies
- Develop, implement, and maintain ISO system and act as Management Representative
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and address hazards
- Create and deliver training on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and compliance.
- Collaborate across departments to develop emergency plans and ensure preparedness.
- Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive actions.
- Monitor workplace conditions, equipment, and practices for compliance and improvements.
- Stay updated on regulations and industry practices, adapting policies accordingly.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections
- Oversee and coordinate Plant solid waste and recycling program
- Adhere to all required local, state, and federal reporting and permitting requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Success in this position is measured by : Number of safety incidents / near miss, total incident rate, on-time compliance reporting and number of ISO audit findings
Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist Skill & Education Requirements :
- Must be willing to submit and pass a drug screen
- A bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field preferred and / or a minimum of one to three years equivalent experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Relevant EHS certifications
- Expertise in EHS regulations and track record of implementing effective solutions
- Ability to use computers and applicable software (Microsoft Word, Excel) at a high level
- Strong communication and training abilities for engaging employees at all levels
- Ability to multi-task and successfully operate in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail
- Frequently in sitting position to perform duties at desk and on computer so must be able to sit for an extended period
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds (occasionally)
- Must be able to stand for extended period
- Must be able to reach, squat, walk, climb, crawl and kneel to complete tasks
