Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
- Manage and organize documents using document management systems
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- File and maintain legal documents in physical and electronic filing systems
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and meetings
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and answering phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or certification in paralegal studies preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software
- Attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading and editing legal documents
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to conduct legal research using online databases and resources
- Strong clerical and administrative skills
