Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Design Consultant to join our furniture store team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to guide customers in creating beautiful and functional living spaces. This role combines design expertise, sales skills, and customer service to help clients achieve their ideal home or office interiors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Greet and welcome customers, actively listening to their needs and preferences.
- Provide personalized recommendations on furniture, fabrics, layouts, and décor that align with customers' styles, budgets, and space requirements.
- Design Consultation:
- Offer professional design advice during in-store consultations or at customers' homes.
- Create mood boards, floor plans, and 3D visualizations to help customers envision the final look.
- Stay up-to-date with interior design trends, color palettes, and styles to provide expert guidance.
- Sales and Product Knowledge:
- Maintain deep knowledge of the store’s furniture collections, materials, and customization options.
- Guide customers through product features and benefits, ensuring they make informed purchasing decisions.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets by building trust and providing exceptional service.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the sales, delivery, and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, design plans, and sales orders.
- Showroom Maintenance:
- Ensure the showroom is visually appealing and represents the latest trends in furniture and design.
- Assist in setting up displays and arranging furniture to inspire customers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in interior design, sales, or a related field (experience in a furniture retail environment is a plus).
- A strong understanding of design principles, spatial planning, and furniture trends.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, RoomSketcher, or similar tools) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- High level of creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
