Skilled Tradesman

Maluliku General Contracting is looking for an experienced Skilled Tradesman to join our team. This role requires a high level of expertise in construction trades, the ability to work independently, and the skills to lead and mentor less-experienced workers. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in construction, their own professional-grade tools, and a strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and project execution.

• Perform advanced construction tasks, including framing, roofing, concrete work, finish carpentry, and other skilled trades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment efficiently and safely.
• Lead, train, and oversee laborers and skilled laborers on job sites.
• Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and is completed on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site while enforcing safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other tradespeople.
• Troubleshoot and solve on-site construction challenges as they arise.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in construction or a skilled trade.
• Proficiency in multiple trades, such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, and finish work.
• Must have personal tools suitable for professional-grade work.
• Ability to lead a crew and provide guidance to laborers and skilled laborers.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, first aid, or equipment operation.
• Experience with estimating, material selection, and job site coordination.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs.
