Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscaping/Mowing Crew Leader to join our team. This role is crucial for overseeing landscaping projects and ensuring the successful execution of landscape maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for outdoor work, and a comprehensive understanding of landscaping techniques, including tree care and irrigation. As a Crew Leader, you will guide your team in building and maintaining beautiful landscapes that enhance our clients' properties.
In addition to operating equipment and performing assigned jobs, Crew Leaders also manage crew members and ensure the work performed on their crew meets our company’s expectations. Crew Leaders must oversee Crew Members as they work together. Like Crew Members, Crew Leaders are on the front lines.
You are the eyes and ears of our company. Crew leaders must be aware of their surroundings and conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. You are leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Be on time for morning meetings (6:30)
- Understand your schedule and assigned Jobs
- Delegate crew duties effectively
- Accurately and consistently tracking time spent on jobs on Aspire
- Actively listening to crew members and reporting any problems or issues on a customer’s properties in the system and to the foreman
- Safely and effectively operate tools and equipment, and ensure Crew Members are utilizing the required PPE
- Assist with the training of new employees and monitoring work performed
- Bridge clear communication between foreman and Crew members
- Report any broken equipment to foreman
- Must fill up the trucks, empty trash and debris, and load products for next day at the end of the day
- Direct report to Head foreman
Preparedness
- Crew Leaders must arrive at work before 6:30 am each morning.
- Crew Leaders must have proper attire and PPE. Pants (Jeans or Khakis), uniform shirt, work boots, and look like MARTY.
- We will provide you with glasses, ear protection, and gloves. You are required to wear PPE
- Lunch is packed in a cooler before arriving at work.
- Must check the trucks every Monday for the proper oil and fluids
- Must complete a truck DOT check every morning before leaving
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance and gardening
- Strong leadership skills with a background in supervising teams
- Knowledge of lawn care, tree care, and groundskeeping practices
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and horticulture principles
- Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid Drivers License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
