JOB SUMMARYThe Facilities Maintenance Technician, working under the direction of the Facilities Engineer, is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions and minimal downtime. This involves hands-on repairs and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural components. This role is crucial in maintaining an efficient production environment while prioritizing the safety of all employees.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Performs routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.2. Troubleshoots and repairs machinery, equipment, and production lines to minimize downtime.3. Assists in the further development and management of the preventative maintenance program and inventory control for production lines.4. Conducts preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and manufacturer specifications to ensure safe and optimal equipment operating conditions.5. Maintains the interior and exterior of both plant and warehouse facilities. This includes routine tasks such as cleaning, repairing any damage, and performing regular inspections. Additionally, touch-up painting may be required to keep the building looking its best.6. Assists with safety inspections to ensure all safety protocols are followed.7. Maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Orders and replenishes supplies as needed.8. Coordinates with external contractors for specialized repairs and projects. Assists with installations and servicing to enhance equipment knowledge and reduce future servicing costs for the company.9. Ensures all maintenance activities are documented and tracked.10. Assists in training new team members.11. Provides suggestions to improve processes, procedures, and department in support of company goals.12. Follows Company GMPs and occupational safety regulations to ensure compliance.13. Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements.14.
