We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged infants to toddlers. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a daycare setting.
- Support the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging social interaction and emotional development.
- Monitor children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and needs.
- Participate in planning and preparing materials for lessons and activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring proper nutrition for children.
- Provide support for children with special needs or developmental challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience or education in early childhood education, childcare, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and child development principles.
- Previous experience as a nanny, preschool teacher, or daycare worker is a plus.
- Knowledge of toddler care practices, including infant care techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children in various developmental stages.
- A background in special education is beneficial but not required.
