What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Server position at Mama Margies Mexican Restaurant?
As a Line Server, your top priority is serving great tasting food to customers, in accordance with Mama Margie’s standards. You must learn how to prepare each menu item and have pride in making every plates presentation perfect. Your duties include but are not limited to, preparing orders for customers, handling simple customer requests in a polite manner, restocking the serving line as needed, washing dishes and helping out in other positions as needed. You must following all sanitation and safety standards. You must be dependable, have good customer service skills, able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks at one time, able to work harmoniously with other employees, able to read (with or without corrective lenses) order tickets, and able to work weekends and holidays including Christmas. This position also requires, by way of example only, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, being able to stand up to 8 hours in length, use motion that entails pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and continuous use of fingers and wrists, and the ability to tolerate extreme kitchen temperatures at times.
