Senior Apparel Print Designer

INTRODUCTION: We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Apparel CAD Designer to join our creative team, This role focuses on creating innovative prints, patterns and graphics that align with our brand vision and market trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate design concepts into compelling digital artwork. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with various teams to bring our apparel collection to life.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Translate seasonal concept direction into cohesive and innovative print collections
• Build out relevant print and pattern stories from brand concept for apparel category
• Develop and create original prints, patterns and graphics for apparel collections using CAD software. Clean, color separate and create colorway options
• Lead the design process from concept to final artwork, ensuring designs meet brand standards and market demands
• Collaborate closely with the design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of graphics and prints into the overall product line
• Conduct trend research and market analysis to stay current with industry trends and incorporate relevant influences into designs
• Create detailed CAD presentations and technical packages for production, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all design specifications
• Oversee the development of print and pattern repeats, color separations, and final artwork preparation for production
• Maintain an organized digital library of all graphics, prints, and related design assets
• Review and approve strike-offs, lab dips and other pre-production samples to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the production process
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
• Continuously seek out innovative techniques and tools to enhance the design process and improve efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5-10 years experience in apparel CAD design, with a focus on graphics and prints
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other CAD software
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of graphic and print design work for apparel
• Excellent understanding of color theory, print techniques and textile applications
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to create precise and accurate design files
• Exceptional creativity and artistic skills, with a keen eye for fashion and design trends
• Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of garment construction and the apparel production process is a plus
• Ability to mentor and lead junior designers, promoting a positive and creative team culture
