Description
The Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) initiates a plan of care based on identified medical and nursing diagnosis which is consistent with knowledge of illnesses, injuries, diseases, human behavior and outlined standards of care. He/she directs and coordinates with other departments and ancillary personnel to provide a safe environment and a high standard of quality care. The Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) is administratively and professionally responsible to the Clinic Manager and is clinically responsible to physician collaborators for management of a select group of patients in a clinical setting utilizing protocols approved by Departments of Nursing, Administration and Clinical Medicine.
What You'll Do:
- Carefully assesses and monitors the physical status of the patient. Collects and records necessary data through a variety of sources and utilizes this information appropriately in planning and delivering patient care.
- Coordinates patient care with other staff and physicians; carries out the medical plan of care; reports to physician all pertinent changes in patient's condition; provides basic information regarding equipment, tests, procedures and disease processes to patient and family.
- Documents patient care on clinical records in a clear, accurate and concise manner.
- Anticipates potential problems and adapts to clinic changes.
- Demonstrates an ongoing, careful assessment of patient teaching needs, provides necessary teaching in an organized manner according to hospital policy, evaluates further needs, and appropriately documents teaching and patient response.

Qualifications:
- State of California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
- DEA license required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS certification preferred.
- One year experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Job Information:
- Full-time, day shifts, including holidays and weekends.
