Description
Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures at a skilled technical level requiring the ability to apply Ultrasound for diagnosis. Performs related tasks as required. Is responsible for the professional and efficient operation of Ultrasound exams in the Radiology Department. Acts as technical assistant to the Radiologist. Suggests changes related to the department as conditions warrant.
What You'll Do:
- Performs all routine Ultrasound procedures to include: Obstetrical, Gynecological, Abdominal, Small Part exams and vascular studies.
- Assists Radiologist with Ultrasound procedures.
- Instructs and prepares patients for diagnostic Ultrasound procedures.
- Verifies the existence and accuracy of exam requests and consents.
- Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of examining rooms, ultrasound equipment, probes, and work areas.
- Understands and uses the department PACS and RIS system.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a current certificate as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Abdominal (with sub categories below preferred) or be ARDMS eligible within 6 months of date of employment.

- Breast
- Cardiovascular Principle
- Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Physicians Vascular Interpretation
- Ultrasound Physics/Instrumentation
- Vascular Principles/Instrumentation
- Vascular Technology
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Graduate of a program in Ultrasonography approved by the AMA or has the equivalent of such education and training.
Job Information:
- Per diem, varied shifts including weekends.
- Starting wage $48.65 to $58.97 based on qualifications.
