A little about this position:
- Uses fabrication, welding, and machining techniques to build, repair, and maintain resort equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Operates a variety of welding, fabrication, and machining tools, including mills, lathes, brakes, shears, saws, grinders, and CNC cutting tables.
NOTE: Interviews for this position will require an in-person, on-site skills test.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in metalworking trades.
- Additional trade school education or apprenticeship training is highly preferred.
- Commitment to continued education, including AWS seminars and other e-learning opportunities.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and plasma/oxyfuel cutting.
- Competency in operating shop equipment such as mills, lathes, brakes, shears and saws.
- Ability to work at a journeyman level in welding, machining, and fabrication.
- Ability to work effectively in a shop setting as well as outdoors in variable and often adverse weather conditions.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical documents, including shop drawings and repair manuals.
- Apply strong layout and fitment skills to prepare materials for welding and fabrication, ensuring accurate assembly and alignment.
- Use measuring tools to inspect and verify the quality of completed work, ensuring it meets design specifications.
- Experience with CAD design and CNC cutter programming a plus.
- Certifications:
- Possession of or ability to obtain welding certifications for SMAW and FCAW processes.
- Completion of or willingness to complete the 10-hour OSHA General Industry training course.
- Additional Requirements:
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Collaborate effectively with team members on larger projects while demonstrating the ability to work independently when required.
- Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (3 points or fewer).
