Mammoth Sports Construction is seeking a versatile and organized Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a variety of accounting functions. You will assist with financial recordkeeping, data entry, and support daily accounting operations.
LOCATION: Headquarters - Meriden, KS
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Process and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.

Code and enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.

Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accurately recorded.

Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoicing or payments.

Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus).

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), with an eagerness to learn accounting software systems.

Prior experience in an accounts payable role or office environment is a plus, but not required.
