Description
Crèche Academy is seeking a positive individual to join our family-oriented and faith-based center. At Crèche, we enrich children’s lives with a unique education curriculum and show them the values and beauty of life in rural Kansas. We are here to provide for all children and meet their specific needs. We serve children from ages 6 weeks to 8 years old at their home away from home.
JOB LOCATION: Meriden, KS
PAY: TBD, based on qualifications
Qualifications
Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide basic care and caregiving activities
-
Design and follow a schedule of activities
-
Use a wide range of teaching methods to enrich the child’s abilities
-
Keep open communication with parents and update as needed
-
Collaborate with other teachers/staff
-
Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
-
Interact with children inside and outside of the academy setting
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Prior experience with children/toddlers/infants is strongly preferred
-
Creative, dependable, organized, patience, flexibility and love for children
-
Balance between logical and social exercises
-
Positive interaction with children and peers
-
Lift 10 pounds occasionally and play/walk outside when weather permits
-
Safely feed children if necessary and assist with beverages
-
Establish and enforce rules of behavior in their classrooms
-
Stay up to date on teaching standards and safety regulations
-
Certified in first aid and CPR within first 30 days

Current health assessment
-
Current negative TB test
Education and Experience:
-
High School diploma
-
2 years of prior childhood teaching and care preferred
-
Degree in early childhood education or related field strongly preferred
