Summary: The National Sales Manager – O&G Core is responsible for driving sales and business development for new MAN-ES equipment within the Oil and Gas sector, focusing on an assigned territory and/or accounts. In this role, the individual will actively promote the company’s offerings, identify new opportunities for equipment sales, and collaborate with other teams to assess and evaluate customer specifications. Additionally, they will provide expert advice on tailored technical solutions to meet customer needs.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with strategic customers. Proactively engage with assigned and potential accounts, building rapport with key decision-makers and generating leads.
- Develop and lead order capture plans
- Expand the customer base by positioning MAN-ES as the preferred partner through consultative selling, long before the Request for Quotation (RFQ) stage.
- Lead the negotiation and finalization of commercial agreements and contracts with customers.
- Focus on sectors such as Oil and Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy, and other industrial markets.
- Monitor market activity and trends, including competition, and provide feedback to the sales organization per MAN-ES guidelines
- Ensure customers are well-informed about MAN-ES products and services through training, presentations, and regular communication.
- Contribute to the development of promotional materials and participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry organizations.
- Collaborate with the MAN-ES project execution organization, resolving scope and supply issues, and assisting with customer communications during installation, commissioning, and warranty claims.
- Manage and direct preparation of technical and commercial proposals, including the preparation of price recommendations based on market information and the preparation of unique value propositions for each opportunity
- Manage the sales funnel by timely documenting the lifecycle of the opportunity and ensure all opportunities are properly entered into CRM
- Oversee customer feedback and manage relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related scientific discipline required.
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in sales/marketing, application engineering, or project management, specifically with complex engineer-to-order equipment required.
- Strong experience with large rotating machinery such as turbo-compressors, blowers, steam turbines, or gas turbines is required.
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years experience conducting technical product presentations to clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications and legal contracts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage constructive conflict effectively.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of customer orientation. Ability to align team efforts with broader business strategies.
- Expert in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong networking abilities with a well-established presence in the local market and within MAN-ES. Excellent intercultural skills and understanding.
- Familiarity with applicable industry standards (API, ASME, IEC, etc.) that are typically specified by clients for our equipment.
