What are the responsibilities and job description for the Military Systems Data Analyst, Mid-Level position at Man-Machine Systems Assessment?

Responsibilities:
Perform quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to evaluate data, identify trends, and translate analysis into recommendations that can be shared and acted upon. Analyze and visualize structured and unstructured data from authoritative sources and present findings to support decision-making. Create reports and dashboards that distill large amounts of data into discrete and actionable information. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators to monitor organizational objectives. Apply design principles, communication techniques, and dashboard design. Interpret technical findings and processes for stakeholders.
Work as a team member to assist in developing new OT&E and LFT&E capabilities in support of the evaluation of operational performance of military systems by performing one or more of the following tasks (specific tasks assignments will be determined based on the candidate’s strengths among these areas):
· Develop a cost-benefit analysis for conducting OT&E and LFT&E of system of systems.
· Summarize existing practices and identify gaps and requirements for enabling efficient data collection and analysis.
· Consult with data engineers and developers to:
- Advise on developing and operationalizing enterprise-level automated data analysis suite in support of OT&E and LFT&E that demonstrate improved efficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Prototype, develop, and operationalize statistical methods and tools to support efficient and dynamic use of test data collected from different sources and using systems of different maturity.
- Develop and operationalize tools that automatically extracts and properly format a system’s software data for vulnerability analysis.
· Develop methods to quantify risk to T&E programs, acquisition programs, and the warfighter.
Required Education/Experience:
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree (scientific or engineering and have 4 years of professional experience in data analysis relating to DoD systems, including experience with one or more of the following: AI-enabled systems, autonomous systems, software-intensive systems, joint all-domain command and control solutions, space systems, and electromagnetic spectrum-dependent systems. Direct experience with analysis supporting DoD OT&E or LFT&E agencies preferred (e.g., DOT&E, AFOTEC, ATEC, MCOTEA, OPTEVFOR).
Salary range: $90k - $130k, depending upon quality of relevant experience.
