Summary:
Overhaul of parts in our OEM workshop, general mechanics, welding,machining and assistance to Service/Superintendent Engineer on field serviceassignments.
Key JobResponsibilities:
Performmaintenance, operational or overhaul tasks onboard vessels under the directionof a Service or Superintendent engineer.
Carry out overhaul, inspection, and repair under direction of servicemanager/workshop supervisor.
Identify and perform maintenance tasks on workshop equipment.
Assist Engineers in all duties related to:
Diesel engines
Turbochargers
Propeller
Transmission Systems
Other products designed or produced by the company.
Attends on smaller routine jobs as per present and future skills, bothworking alone or as a foreman for a group.
Assist in maintaining good business relationships and communication withcustomers by performing work to a high quality and safety standard, maintain aprofessional appearance and communicating with customers under the direction ofa Superintendent or Service Engineer.
Embrace and assist in developing company safety and quality processes.
Understand the function, use and maintenance of measuring tools used inthe various processes and actively engaged in development of skills thereof.
Be ready, willing and able to travel with little or no advancenotification.
Have the ability to adapt to and perform otherduties as assigned by applicable manager/supervisor.
RequiredEducation:
Diploma as Technician , Graduate Technician
Comparable vocational education with longtime related work experienceor equivalent
Required Experience:
Sufficient experiencenecessary to demonstrate understanding of mechanical systems and operations isrequired. Experience with andtheoretical/practical knowledge of diesel engines, turbochargers, pumps andcylinder heads is desired.
