As a forklift operator at MANA Village, you’ll be a big part of our team. You’ll use forklifts and other tools to move containers in our peanut butter factory and warehouse. You’ll help bring in new supplies, move finished products to the right place, and ensure everything is where it should be. You’ll check the things we receive and send out to ensure they’re accurate and in good condition. You’ll also help keep track of where everything is stored. Your job will also include picking and packing products carefully and letting us know if anything is damaged. You’ll also help ship the products we’ve made using a first-in-first-out procedure.
We care a lot about keeping everyone safe at MANA. We’ll give you all the safety gear you need, and you’ll need to wear it as instructed. You’ll need to check your forklift before using it to ensure it’s safe, working right, and does not need repairs or regular maintenance. You'll also prevent injuries to others by showing a high degree of attention while driving around the facility.
This job requires basic reading, writing, and math skills. You’ll need to be able to do your work without constant supervision, lift heavy things sometimes, have good hand-eye coordination, and know how to use our stock locator system to find items. Working well with others is a must because teamwork is essential to our operations.
You’ll usually work a set 8-12 hour shift. But sometimes, you might need to work longer or at different times to help the team. Work may include nights, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
