What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Mana Nutritive Aid Products Incorporated?
Are you looking for a job that pays the bills and makes a difference? If so, we have got the perfect opportunity for you! Join MANA as a production operator.
We're not your typical company. Our mission is simple—we feed kids! We use a special peanut butter recipe to help children suffering from severe acute malnutrition in different countries. We need your help to make sure that our products are packaged to perfection and reach the children who need them the most.
As an operator, you’ll work with machines that pack our products in a peanut butter factory. You’ll ensure that work is done according to our guidelines, which is very important for the quality and safety of our products.
You’ll also set up and clean machines before and after each shift, assuring they're in proper working order. You’ll change codes and packing films for each product and adjust the weight as needed. You’ll watch the machines during each process to ensure they operate accurately and fix any problems. You’ll also do tests to ensure we meet our customers' standards and let supervisors and Quality Assurance people know if there are any problems. This action includes checking the weight, packaging seals, and coding on our product pouches (sachets). You’ll also keep an eye on each machine’s condition, making sure that regular and preventative maintenance happens. You’ll also stock materials needed for continued operation near the packaging machines.
We care a lot about safety at MANA. We’ll give you all the safety gear you need, and you’ll need to wear it as instructed.
This job requires basic reading, writing, and math skills. You should be able to stand for a long time and be okay with bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, squatting, pushing, pulling, walking, and lifting things that weigh 30-50 pounds. Most importantly, you must share our commitment to integrity and attention to detail so that we always meet food safety, legal, and quality requirements. We want to make only the best products for kids who need them!
You’ll usually work a set 8-12 hour shift. But sometimes, you might need to work longer or at different times to help the team. Work may include nights, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
At MANA, you'll be part of an exceptional community that cares about making a difference. So, if you want to help feed kids in need and earn a living, join us and become a member of the MANA Village!
