Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory tasks to prepare materials and test samples.
- Actively participate in standard and exploratory experimental designs.
- Handle non-routine R&D tasks, including the design of fixtures for experiments and establishing proper data acquisition methods.
- Collect and report scientific and engineering data obtained from lab equipment.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks with thorough documentation.
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain experimental laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Ensure the laboratory is organized and in compliance with safety standards.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in lab work and chemical handling.
- Familiarity with routine laboratory activities related to material preparation and testing.
- Associate's degree in engineering, technical, or science-related fields.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- 2 years of construction experience, particularly in concrete or cement.
- Prior experience with mortar or cement testing in a lab setting.
