- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of engineering projects, products, or systems, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, technical requirements, and customer needs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in execution.
- Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and feasibility studies to evaluate technical challenges, opportunities, and risks, and develop innovative solutions or enhancements.
- Use advanced engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, models, simulations, and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Lead the execution of experiments, tests, and analyses to validate design concepts, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement, leveraging your expertise and experience.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in engineering disciplines, and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in engineering, product development, or a related role, with a proven track record of success in leading complex engineering projects and initiatives.
- Expertise in engineering principles, theories, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them to solve technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as CAD/CAM, simulation, and analysis software, and the ability to interpret and analyze complex engineering data.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to drive results, manage priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification.
- Extensive experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace), with knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software and design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Previous experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
