Job Summary:
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be familiar with computer operations.
- Should possess sound judgment for machine troubleshooting and product disposition.
- Must have good interpersonal skills for effective communication within the organization.
- Must accurately follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- High School Diploma or GED with 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred; or Technical Certificate with relevant experience.
- Work environment involves the use of manufacturing equipment and potential exposure to biohazards and/or chemicals.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, and bilateral motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull up to 80 lbs.
- The role involves concentrated visual attention for product checks.
- The Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
- Must perform start-up operation from power off/cold state; complete equipment and product paperwork.
- Involved in changeovers, line clearance, system transactions, and documentation.
- Responsible for pulling test samples for QC in process inspection and removing completed production from machine.
- Must perform minor troubleshooting for machine performance issues.
- Responsible for updating hourly production boards with production and efficiency numbers.
- Must ensure that product meets quality specifications.
- Required to maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
- Must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Expected to promote and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives.
- Travel requirement is typically less than 5% of the time.
