The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for verifying and recording incoming shipments related to purchase and work orders while maintaining accurate inventory records. This role involves issuing raw materials to production, receiving finished goods, packaging, and ensuring all inventory transactions are properly documented.
Responsibilities :
Issue raw materials to production based on work orders or requisitions.
Receive finished goods from production, verify work order packages, and prepare materials for warehouse transfer.
Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders for accuracy.
Package orders using pick-lists for shipment preparation.
Ensure proper labeling and inventory tracking using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods.
Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
Use UPS & FedEx scales to determine proper shipping weights when required.
Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and SAMCO Cutters.
Input and maintain accurate records in the QAD system.
Drive the company box truck for deliveries (No CDL required).
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all departmental procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify differences in part and lot numbers.
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
Good math skills for inventory tracking and shipping tasks.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills.
Licenses & Certifications :
Valid Driver's License required.
Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain certification within 60 days).
