As a key member of the Management and Training Corporation (MTC) team, the Deputy Warden, Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day management of our facilities. Reporting directly to the Warden, this senior-level position requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of security, safety, and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise a team of senior staff members, including chief of security, maintenance manager, unit manager, grievance coordinator, DHO lieutenant, training lieutenant, mailroom clerk, and secretary.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that ensure seamless execution of facility objectives.
- Maintain accountability for overall security and unit management operations, ensuring compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA), MTC, and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish performance metrics and goals, driving continuous improvement and excellence within the organization.
