At Management and Training Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of structures, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems in compliance with ACA, MTC, and MDOC directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets, and fuses as directed by management.
- Perform minor construction and repair work, including structural woodwork.
- Install window shades or coverings, security locks, and other essential components.
- Carry out repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, washers, seals, and other equipment.
- Assist in preparing surfaces for finishing, including painting, as directed.
- Direct inmates assigned to facility maintenance tasks.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks of buildings and equipment.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with technical training and general knowledge of repair and maintenance, is required. Additionally, three years of related experience are necessary for this position.
- A valid driver's license in the state of Mississippi or Louisiana, with an acceptable driving record, is required unless waived by management.
