SUMMARY : The President & CEO is a highly-skilled, visionary leader who will provide inclusive, transparent, and empowering executive leadership that supports and guides the organization's mission. In their role, the President & CEO will organize, motivate, and mentor internal team leaders, strategically growing the organization's impact, programs, and fundraising efforts. They will continually foster a culture that encourages collaboration between departments and recognizes positive contributions. Additionally, they will manage and motivate staff, overseeing hiring, separation, ongoing staff development, performance management, and compensation and benefits processes, while inspiring a business-oriented, professional, results-driven environment across the organization.
The President & CEO will also contribute to the development of the strategic plan and drive its implementation, establishing goals, objectives, and operational plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors, staff, and other leaders. They will apply innovative thinking and performance measurements to analyze and support strategic decision-making as they perform general management duties, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. In their role, they will execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, targeting diverse funding sources such as grants, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and individual donations. They will leverage their extensive network and business acumen to cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors, maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Collaborates with the Board of Directors in policy development, strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, while actively engaging in decision-making processes.
- Oversee the organization's budget, securing resources to meet financial goals, and monitor financial performance to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Act as the chief spokesperson, promoting the mission and vision to various stakeholders, including community groups, funders, government officials, media, and the public.
- Advocate for the needs of the broader community in the Greater Holland Area, West Michigan, Lakeshore, and Michigan, fostering partnerships and collaboration across diverse sectors.
- Provide inclusive and empowering executive leadership, driving organizational growth and success, while nurturing a culture of accountability and transparency.
- Foster a collaborative culture that enhances performance, teamwork, and open communication among staff, team leaders, and external partners.
- Contribute to the strategic plan, aligning resources and priorities for maximum impact, and monitoring progress toward defined objectives.
- Establish clear goals, objectives, and operational plans in collaboration with the Board, staff, and leaders, while regularly reviewing and adjusting as needed.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, and implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, targeting diverse funding sources such as grants, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and individual donations.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors, building a strong pipeline of prospects for ongoing support, and recognizing donor contributions.
- Represent the organization at events and conferences, promoting its mission and accomplishments, and forging new partnerships and alliances.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
