Overview :
METI is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support our contract with the Weapons Survivability Laboratory (WSL) and will perform routine tasks under close supervision or by following detailed procedures, supporting engineering operations for the WSL contract. This role involves assembling, testing, recording data, and assisting senior personnel with engineering-related tasks. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Duties :
- Assemble or install equipment and components requiring basic wiring, soldering, or connections.
- Conduct simple tests such as tensile or hardness tests, operate and adjust basic test equipment, and record test data.
- Collect and maintain engineering records, including test results, drawings, and related documentation.
- Perform basic computations using specified formulas and assist in plotting data to create simple graphs and curves.
- Assist senior engineers and technicians with various engineering tasks as needed.
- Follow safety and quality standards to ensure compliance with engineering protocols.
