Siter-Neubauer & Associates is currently conducting a search for Product Line Manager :
Maximize and manage P&L for product line by performing the following duties personally or through colleagues in the organization. Reports to the Director, Product Management.
Key / Core Responsibilities :
Create and own the 5-year strategic plan for specific product line. To do this :
Review and evaluate market research to map business trends.
Articulate the competitive marketplace including how the Employer's products compare with those of competitors. This covers value to customers from a features vs. price perspective.
Communicate trends in Customer needs - where they are today and how they will evolve over the next 18-60 months.
Develop personal relationships with Key Customers for product line to enable understanding of needs and help develop the right products / capabilities.
Identify target market segments for Product line.
Identify and pursue partnerships / acquisitions to incorporate technology / gain share.
Product Lifecycle :
New Product Introduction :
Create business cases for new product development / modifications.
Lead approval within organization including sign-off from Engineering.
Hands off to Program Manager as program is won, keeping oversight of the product during development to ensure it meets business case assumptions.
Mid Lifecycle :
Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line and identify opportunities for improvement and modification.
End of Lifecycle :
Directs sunsetting, last time buy and sell off of products to ensure appropriate focus.
Work with Sales to win new business / maximizing profits :
Monitor and input into pipeline process / CRM.
Analyze sales statistics to spot trends and take appropriate actions.
Create structural framework for prices within the product line, including Routes to Market.
Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing large / strategic deals.
Promote the Employer and the product capabilities :
Assist channel development activity and coordinate sales and advertising techniques.
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products and capabilities.
Assist in development of direct marketing plans and budgets.
Moderate to extensive travel required.
Managers and Leaders must comply and ensure employees comply with SHE policies and standards as issued or communicated by the Employer, including setting an example, wearing / requiring PPE, training and monitoring employees. Managers and Leaders are expected to support an employee in taking this action and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence, drive improvement, cooperate during investigations and take steps to make sure an attitude of compliance and safety is promoted.
Comply with the Employer's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, engineering.
5 years of aviation related discipline or industry related experience.
Experience showing, promoting and selling products and / or services.
Experience managing portfolio of products – making lifecycle decisions from new product development through end of lifecycle activities.
Experience in avionics communication with specific Cockpit and / or Cabin Audio experience.
Effective written and oral communication skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Proficient using a computer and MS Office product.
Ability to deal with non-standard situations with frequent and multiple variables.
Ability to make the best decisions possible with the information you have available and ability to map out the likely consequences of decisions, work out the importance of individual factors, and choose the best courses of action.
