Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.The (Contract / Temp) Sr Designer Tech-Technical Validator is responsible for reviewing and validating engineering models and drawings to ensure standards and conformance with applicable ANSI.Responsibilities : Check and markup detail parts and assembly drawings and models created in SolidWorks, NX, and / or AutoCAD through the EDPM system.Create models and drawings as required.Verify form, fit, function, accuracy, and completeness of design information.Verify drawings and associated lists to Program and company requirements.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Education : AA degree or certification in Engineering or Design Engineering preferred.Position Requirements : Five (5) plus years of experience in configuration and technical validation is required.Understanding and practice of GD&T and drawing formats per ASME Y14.100M, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.35M, ASME Y14.34M, and ASME Y14.5M.Knowledge of mechanical and systems engineering design, model and drawing drafting standards.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products : PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.Ability to work effectively with suppliers and partners to coordinate Source Control Drawing.Understanding of basic manufacturing processes using machining, casting, forging, and composites, and able to discuss standard flag notes.
