Opportunity :
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Manager to direct a 2-shift, non-union operation that manufactures capital equipment. This is a pivotal role designed to cultivate high-potential leaders for advancement to a Director of Operations position. The successful candidate will oversee all facets of plant operations, driving continuous improvement, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute strategic operational plans to achieve and exceed production targets, quality standards, and safety objectives.
- Operational Excellence : Lead and manage a 2-shift operation with 120 employees, ensuring optimal resource utilization and process efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement : Champion and implement Lean / Continuous Improvement initiatives, driving measurable improvements in productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
- Team Development : Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Financial Management : Oversee the plant's P&L, develop and manage budgets, and ensure financial performance aligns with company objectives.
- Executive Communication : Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to executive leadership, providing insights into operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Community Engagement : Represent the company in the local community, building and maintaining positive relationships.
- Talent Development : Actively participate in the company's talent development process and be a candidate for promotion to a Director of Operations position.
