Position
This firm is looking for an experienced technical sales manager to manage a group of account managers spread across half the US
This person is responsible for the development, execution and management of the company's domestic sales strategies for half the US
This person's group will be responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the coatings, adhesives, sealant, and elastomer (CASE) industry
Owns and sets account plans / goals / priorities for account managers, both short and long-term
Manages and owns the overall commercial relationship with key customers and is the "face" of the firm to them
The position is home-office based and about 35% overnight (regional) travel is required
Qualifications
Six or more years of chemical sales experience is required
Prior sales management experience in the chemical sales space is required
Specialty CASE chemical distribution sales experience is highly preferred
A four-year bachelor's degree is preferred (chemical engineering or chemistry degrees are highly preferred)
