Server/Waiter

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest relations skills and a passion for providing exceptional service. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality food and beverage service while adhering to food safety and handling standards.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using OpenTable or similar systems, ensuring all guest preferences are noted.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a clean and organized service area.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or special requests.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries effectively.
• Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the dining area.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events or large parties as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
• Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs efficiently.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with culinary terms and techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
