- Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of three (3) years accounting and or financial experience
- CPA and/or school accounting experience preferred
- Understanding of the principles and practices of school financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statutes, codes and GASB 34 requirements
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and accepted principles in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, insurance, purchasing, transportation, food service, school plant operations and facilities planning
- Demonstrated ability to analyze program accounts and provide recommendations for fiscal responsibility
- Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to supervise support staff
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
